How does the VelaShape™ differ from a VelaSmooth™ treatment?
The main difference is the improved technology. The VelaShape™ uses more than two times the energy than VelaSmooth™. Velashape™ provides better results with fewer treatments. VelaSmooth™ cellulite reduction required 12-24 treatments. VelaShape™ provides more dramatic improvement in 6 to8 treatments.

What is cellulite?
Cellulite, which looks like dimpling on the surface of the skin, is caused by an accumulation of displaced fat and toxins that are trapped just beneath the surface of skin. Cellulite is not caused by being overweight; in fact, many people who are in excellent physical condition have pockets of cellulite on their arms, hips, thighs or buttocks.

Endermologie

Treatments for cellulite remain largely unsuccessful because they only target the appearance of cellulite. It was finally understood that the dimpling on the surface of the skin was but a symptom of the underlying cause and to banish the bumps would require a deeply acting treatment.

Endermologie® is non-surgical and non-invasive. It involves the use of a motorized device with two adjustable rollers and controlled suction, which creates a symmetrical skin-fold. The skin gently folds and unfolds under the continuous action of the rollers allowing for smooth and regulated deep tissue mobilization. As the viscosity of the subcutaneous fat layer decreases, blood flow and lymphatic drainage increase, facilitating the elimination of excess fluid and metabolites, while improving overall cellular function.

Endermologie was developed in the 1980’s and has remained an effective treatment for many years.
